A community dinner this evening will support the Huron SOUP micro granting event for female entrepreneurs.
The fundraiser presented by Rural Response for Healthy Children is being held at 6pm at the Huron County Museum.
Newly established businesses run by women in Huron County will prepare the local made meal.
A minimum donation of $7 will provide participants with soup, a croissant, dessert, and a vote.
People can learn about businesses that women are looking to start in the community, and each contestant will make their pitch to the audience.
the project receiving the most votes gets the proceeds from the donations at the door to support their business.
The Huron Small Business Enterprise Centre is offering coaching to participants,
The centre will offer the winner access to Better Business Courses, ticket to the Huron Women in Networking Dinner, and an opportunity and support to apply for a grant.
The menu includes soup from Feast for Good, croissants from Cait’s Kitchen, and treats from Sweethart Baking Experiment.
The winner will also have the opportunity to take one Introduction to Business Processes credit course from Fanshawe College. This course will explore the various functions of business in Canada including business trends, marketing operations, employee management issues, financial resources, business ethics and
social responsibility
