South Bruce Council expects to hear from a group of concerned Mildmay Carrick citizens about the future of the Bruce County Public Library Branch in Mildmay.
Bob Markle of the Friends of the Library Mildmay Carrick is worried about a suggestion that the branch be moved to a new location, and the current site be sold.
He says former and previous councils supported a community project to establish a new modern library in a permanent location. He says residents worked hard to raise funds to ensure that would happen.
The group has requested a delegation at tonight's council meeting to ask them to pass a motion not to sell the building unless the Bruce County Public Library vacates the premises.
