Five people were sent to hospital after a chain-reaction collision in Owen Sound Monday afternoon.
Just before 3:00 o'clock, a motorist was travelling east on 10th Street West at 3rd Avenue West when that vehicle collided with another. It triggered a series of rear end collisions involving a total of five vehicles.
Five occupants were taken to hospital for treatment of various minor injuries.
One Owen Sound Police Constable stated that all of the occupants were wearing seatbelts which prevented serious injuries.
No charges are expected, based on mechanical failure of one of the vehicles.
