Fire Restrictions Cover All Of Bruce Peninsula

Burning restrictions are now in effect for all of the Bruce Peninsula.

The restrictions were prompted due to the lack of rain, drying winds, high temperatures, and the lack of rain in the weather forecast for the near future.

The Burn Ban for the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula applies to all open air burns, agriculture burns and fireworks.   Campfires and recreational fires are still allowed.

All fire permits are suspended for Northern Bruce Peninsula.

The Town of South Bruce Peninsula has also issued burning restrictions.  Only recreational open air burning will be permitted until further notice.

Recreational fires must be contained within a device with a burn area of no larger than 2 ft. by 2 ft. by 2 ft.
