The Huron-Perth Lakers posted a congratulations message on their webpage to the massive 6'5" defender who was selected 101st overall.
The 18-year-old Stratford native played for the OHL's Saginaw Spirit for the past two seasons. He was ranked 71st by NHL Central Scouting.
