Burn Ban Extends To North Huron and Morris-Turnberry

Two more Huron county municipalities are taking action because of the dry conditions.

The Township of North Huron and the Municipality of Morris-Turnberry are under a total burn ban until further notice.  This ban includes all urban and rural properties.

Anyone found burning faces charges under the respective Municipal Burn bylaw. Any burns that take place under a burn ban that result in the dispatch and response of fire services will result in costs of response being billed to the property owner.

Once we have received suitable rainfall to allow for burns to occur, the burn ban for North Huron and Morris-Turnberry will be lifted.

There is also a burn ban in place for Howick Township, and all of the Bruce Peninsula.
