Chapman House Hospice Inching Closer to Completion

The Residential Hospice of Grey Bruce is even closer to the completion of their new free-standing residential hospice centre thanks to a generous donation from the Trillium ROOTS Community Support Fund.

The donation of $25,000 will support the construction of Chapman House; a facility that will give patients and residents in Grey and Bruce Counties the best end-of-life care.

“The support from communities throughout the region has been incredible,” said Hospice Board Chair Rob Cordell. “Donations like this remind us of how our reach goes well beyond just the community in which we are located and reflects more importantly the region we serve. We’ve already received great support from the Chapman family in Markdale, have exciting news about a donation from Hanover to soon share, and now this donation from Trillium Mutual Insurance in support of our rural communities is just amazing.”

Construction began in April of 2016 and the campaign has already raised $2 million dollars of their $3.5 million dollar goal.

Chapman House is slated to open its doors in early 2017.
