Kincardine Attracts Another New Doctor

Another new doctor is joining the Kincardine physician's Group this year.

Dr. David Blecher starts work in the community on November 1.

Blecher and his wife Jessica relocated to the community earlier this year to be closer to Jessica's family in Sauble Beach.

Dr. Blecher has been working as a locum and ER doctor in Kincardine since early May.

David completed his medical training in Ontario and Newfoundland and remained in Port aux Basque working as a full time Family/ER Physician for the past three years.

“We are delighted with the news that Dr. Blecher will be joining the physicians’ team at the Hawthorne Community Clinic in November," says Kincardine Mayor Anne Eadie. "This is a further demonstration of the success of our physician recruitment program and the efforts of our recruitment team, particularly the hard work and perseverance of Peggy Zeppieri, our medical recruitment specialist."

The recruitment of Dr. Blecher was made possible by the Municipality of Kincardine physician recruitment program, which is supported by a partnership that includes Bruce Power and the Town of Saugeen Shores.
