Heat Warning Hangs Over Area

A heat warning remains in effect for the region.

While we can expect the temperature to crack 30 C again today, the weather forecast is calling for temperatures in the high 20 C range through the weekend before it cooling off a bit for Monday. We can also expect some scattered showers over the next couple of days.

The heat warning for the area has been in effect for most of the week.

Symptoms of heat illness include dizziness, fainting, nausea, headache, extreme thirst, rapid breathing and heartbeat.

Heat stroke can lead to unconsciousness or confusion.
