While the Rainfall Warning has ended for some parts of Midwestern Ontario, the heavy rain certainly played havoc with the roads in Port Elgin.
The significant rainfall has left excess water on the roads in Saugeen Shores, forcing town staff to close some routes.
Drivers are being asked to slow down and avoid flooded areas which could pose a safety hazard.
The town says despite cleaning the catchbasins before the rain, the stormwater system is maxed out. Staff is working to clear the water.
Pylons and barricades have been set up in some the hardest hit areas of town.
Over 51 mm of rain has fallen in Saugeen Shores today.
Resident Doug Fox says he's never seen anything quite like todays water logged streets.
"I've got a lot of water over top of the roads, the north part of Bricker Street and Goderich Street right in town, police are on site just slowing traffic down because the road is completely flooded over," Doug Fox told CKNX News just before the noon hour.

As of 11:56am Environment Canada ended the Rainfall Warning for Southern Bruce County (Kincardine - Saugeen Shores), Southern Grey County (Hanover - Dundalk), Northern Huron County (Wingham - Blyth), Noerthern Perth County (Listowel - Milverton) and Northern Wellington County (Mount Forest - Arthur).
