Ted Doherty has three decades of teaching and executive leadership experience with the board.
He started as a math teacher at FE Madill Secondary in Wingham in 1986.
The school board says Doherty was a champion of student success and challenged existing practices and thinking to help students graduate.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
