The Bluewater District School Board is holding a public meeting next week to discuss a new school in the Hanover area.
The Grade 7-12 facility will be built to replace John Diefenbaker Senior School.
The meeting is Wednesday, September 21 in the library of JDSS at 7pm.
The board says about $19.5-million in funding through the Ministry of Education’s School Consolidation Capital program has been approved for the project.
Work is expected to start this fall on 18th Ave. in Hanover with an opening date of September 2018.
The preliminary concept design will be at the public meeting for further discussion.
Architects from the Ventin Group Ltd. have come up with the concept.
