CanStockPhoto.com imageWord has been received that a long-awaited Syrian family of eight will be arriving in Minto October 17, sponsored by the Minto Refugee Settlement Committee.
Committee Member Terry Fisk says the parents are in their 30s and have six children who range in age from 2 to 6 years old.
Fisk said during the first six months the family will work at getting settled and learning English.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
