$650K Damage In Barn Fire Near Blyth

The fire chief for North Huron says damage to a barn is estimated at $650,000 after a fire south of Blyth Tuesday night.

Firefighters and equipment from six fire stations responded to the blaze on Hullet McKillop Rd. west of London Rd. about 8:20pm.

There were no animals in the barn at the time of the fire.

Fire crews spent the night fighting the blaze and a number of adjacent barns and buildings had to be protected due to a strong wind.

The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
