One man has been arrested after a police investigation caused traffic problems and a rural lockdown north of Seaforth.

The OPP responded to a home along North Line between Hydro Line Rd. and Bridge Rd. shortly after noon Wednesday.  The West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, as well as a canine unit were called to the scene to ensure the safety of those in the area.

Police say at no time was there any threat or danger to the public.

A male suspect was taken into custody without incident just before 5pm, but police are not providing any further details.

A section of North Line re-opened at around 5:40pm.

Huron OPP say an investigation is ongoing.
