OHL Wrap-Up: Guelph Loses to Sarnia Despite 49 Shots on Goal

Mississauga 5 Kitchener 1

Matthew Mancina stopped all but one of the 31 shots he faced as the Mississauga Steelheads topped the Kitchener Rangers 5-1.

The Steelheads were outshot 31-24.

Nathan Bastian, Scoley Dow, Vili Saarijarvi, Brendan Harrogate and Owen Tippett scored for Missisauga.

Connor Bunnaman was the lone scorer for the Rangers.

Sarnia 5 Guelph 4

Ryan Merkley scored twice in the third period to put Guelph within a goal of Sarnia but the Storm failed to score the equalizer as they dropped a 5-4 decision to the Sting.

Nikita Korostelev's second goal of the game late in the second would stand as the game winner.

Isaac Ratcliffe had a pair of goals for the Storm.

Adam Ruzicka struck twice for the Sting.

Liam Herbst made 21 saves for Guelph. Aidan Hughes stopped 45 shots for the Sting.
