Power is slowly being restored to hundreds of homes, farms and businesses in a large part of Midwestern Ontario.
The outages, which started shortly after 7am Wednesday morning, affected Hydro One and Westario customers in the municipalities of North Huron, Morris, Turnberry, Kinloss, Culross, West Wawanosh, and Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh.
There were outages in Wingham, Teeswater, Belgrave, Lucknow, and Ripley.
The Hydro One website lists a full restoration time of between 10am to 11am in the morning.
It's not clear what caused the blackout, but there is a coating of ice on some trees, branches, and hydro lines, along with a gusty wind.
There are still outages in the Wiarton area, as well as St. Marys, Paisley and Markdale areas.
