United Way Fundraiser Below Expectations

The United way Perth Huron fundraising campaign is sitting about 10% off the pace.

Chair Andrew Williams says the 2016 campaign is not quite where it needs to be if they want to be on track to achieve their goal.

He says several workplace campaigns are down in annual donations, and he hopes communities can dig deep to help.

The United way Perth Huron fundraising goal is $1.33 million, which will go to support close to 50 organizations in Perth and Huron.

Choices for Change, Huron County Food Bank and Distribution Centre, St. Marys Youth Centre, Huron Safe Homes for Youth , Emily Murphy Centre, 211, Connect Youth Perth-Huron, and The Local Community Food Centre are among the organizations that count on the funding.

Donors are encouraged to donate online at perthhuron.unitedway.ca, drop by in person at the United Centre at 32 Erie Street or call at 519-271-7730 / 1-877-818-8867.
