The Bluewater District School Board has appointed Fran Morgan to position of trustee for the remainder of the 2014 to 2018 term.
Morgan was appointed through a section of the Education Act that gives the board the option of appointing a qualified candidate to fill a vacancy within 90 days.
Morgan previously served as trustee for the Bluewater District School Board, the Municipality of Meaford and the Town of Blue Mountains in the last term.
She will be sworn in at the February 21 regular meeting of the board.
The former trustee for the area, Linda Hamill, passed away in December at the age of 68.
