Huron Internet Survey Will Help Secure Broadband Funding

Huron County residents are being asked to help the three internet providers in the county compile information on internet speed.

Warden Jim Ginn explains federal funding is now available to help get broadband service to more homes, but the Hay, Hurontel and Tuckersmith providers need data on what speeds customers currently have so they can apply for the funding.

Ginn adds it's important that even people who already have broadband service complete the survey so the information is as complete as possible.

The survey can be found on the web site http://internetsurvey.cni.on.ca/survey.php or on huroncounty.ca.

If more information is needed residents are asked to contact their local provider.
