Goderich 3 Mitchell 2 (Goderich leads the series 1-0)
Jack Francis scored the game winner with just 65 seconds left in regulation as the Goderich Flyers edged Mitchell 3-2 to take a 1-0 series lead in their PJHL quarter final.
The Flyers were out shot 43-22 in the win.
Riley Connors scored less than a minute into the game and Morgan Benniwies made it 2-0 less than seven minutes later. Drew Gross answered for Mitchell midway through the opening frame to cut the Flyers lead to a goal.
Blake Pickering tied the game in the second assisted by Gross and Garrett James. The Flyers were held off the scoresheet in the middle frame.
Nathan Watson earned the win with 41 saves. Graeme Lauersen stopped 19 shots for the Hawks.
Mount Forest 4 Wingham 1 (Mount Forest leads the series 1-0)
Brendon Aitken and Spencer Holt each scored and had an assist in the Mount Forest Patriots 4-1 win over Wingham. Mount Forest leads the best-of-seven quarter final series 1-0.
Mount Forest also got goals from Troy Oakley and Michael Stefanelli.
Mathieu Oullette stopped 29 shots in the win. Alex Metzger made 29 saves for the Ironmen.
Jeremy Ross was the lone scorer for Wingham.
Kincardine 5 Hanover 2 (Series tied 1-1)
Tyler Fregona's unassisted goal at 12:37 of the second stood as the game winner in Kincardine's 5-2 victory over Hanover.
Grant Stevens added insurance for the Bulldogs at 3:22 of the third and Mike Osadca padded the Bulldogs lead with an unassisted power play goal in the final 80 seconds of play.
With the win, the series is tied at a game apiece.
Port Stanley 6 Exeter 4
The Yeck division is still working its way through the regular season. The Exeter Hawks outshot Port Stanley 51-43 but still lost 6-4.
Trevor Fleming suffered the loss with 36 saves. Andrew Maass made 47 saves for the Sailors.
Ian Vandenheuvel led the Hawks offense with a pair of goals and an assist. Nolan Blewett had a hat trick and an assist for the Sailors.
