Human remains that were unearthed by a construction crew in Goderich, are now believed to historical in nature.
The Huron County Ontario Provincial Police says on Tuesday, the workers found a partial human skull buried in the soil, while building a backyard patio on St. George’s Cres.
With assistance from the Office of the Chief Coroner and a forensic anthropologist, police say the remains belong to a human dating back to the 1800s.
The scene was released by police Wednesday evening and the investigation has concluded.
