The CAO for Goderich has been asked by council to get more information about the potential for a helipad on municipally-owned land north of the Maitland Valley Medical Clinic.
Larry McCabe says medical staff have recognized that the land has a clean environmental record and could be better used in the future for medical purposes, rather than a helipad or a parking lot.
McCabe says staff is looking into the possibilities, and he's been asked to get more information on the transfer of patients and bring a report back to Goderich council.
