Age-Friendly Information Meeting Planned In Hanover

Hanover is moving toward formally becoming an Age-Friendly Community.

That's a community where policies, services, and structures are designed to support and enable seniors to live in a secure environment, enjoy good health and continue to participate fully.

The town is hosting an information meeting next week to provide information on the Age-Friendly Community process;   what Hanover's next steps will be;   and how residents can become part of the Age Friendly Advisory Committee.

The meeting is Tuesday, April 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the P & H Centre’s Lion’s Den, and it's open to all Hanover residents, community leaders, and agency representatives.

Age-friendly is recognized by the World Health Organization and explores community support and health services, outdoor spaces and buildings, transportation, housing, social participation, respect and social inclusion, communication and information, and civic participation and employment.
