Meeting Will Look At Future Of Old Teeswater Town Hall

The Municipality of South Bruce is hosting a public meeting next week to talk to residents about the future of the old Teeswater Town Hall.

Fire Inspectors have issued work orders to correct fire code violations including separation walls.

Municipal Administrator Kendra Reinhart says the building will have to be closed in June if the work isn't completed by then.

She says a meeting starts at 7pm Tuesday, April 18, at the Teeswater Town Hall.

"We want to give them an opportunity to offer suggestions and ask questions about the scope of the project, and to provide input and ideas with regard to raising funds, and the future of the hall," says Reinhart.

About $100,000 worth of work needs to be completed, and it's unlikely to be done before the June deadline.
