The Owen Sound Fire Department is joining forces with the Canadian Cancer Society.
Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services has placed new decals on their pumper trucks to show support for Daffodil Month. The decal urges people in the community to buy a daffodil pin in support of Canadians with cancer.
The daffodil is a symbol of strength and courage in the fight against cancer.
Live daffodil flowers will be on sale at Zehrs in Owen Sound from April 20-23 and April 27-30. All donations will help fund programs and services to support people living with cancer, life-saving research, and advocate on behalf of Canadians on important cancer issues.
"We are grateful to have an amazing partnership with Owen Sound Fire and Emergency Services. They help us with many campaigns throughout the year, and this was a great opportunity for us to show the community the support they give us," says Emily Bisson, fundraising specialist with the Bluewater Office of the Canadian Cancer Society.
