The Elmira Sugar Kings scored four times in the second period to win Game 3 of the Sutherland Cup final series 4-1 against London and take a 3-0 series lead.
Austin Kemp opened the scoring for the Nationals on the power play midway through the first to give London a 1-0 lead heading into the second.
Quinten Bruce tied the game, unassisted at 3:54 of the second. Klayton Hoelscher's power play goal just under three-and-a-half minutes later would stand as the game winner. Ethan Skinner gave the Sugar Kings some insurance with a short handed, unassisted goal midway thorough the frame and Mitch Hoelscher scored on the power play to give the Sugar Kings a 4-1 lead.
Jonathan Reinhart made 28 saves including 11 in the scoreless third period. Cameron Zanussi stopped 32 shots for the Nationals.
The Sugar Kings can win the Sutherland Cup with a win on Wednesday on home ice at the Dan Snyder Memorial Arena. Puck drops at 7:30.
