Bruce Power Offering Almost $100K In Scholarships

Bruce Power is awarding 100 applicants $500 scholarships this year.

Students from Bruce, Grey and Huron counties have until June 21 to apply for a share of the $50,000 for post secondary education.

The Bruce Power Annual Scholarship program offers four categories including university, college and skilled trades, special considerations and indigenous, visible minorities or disabled students.

There will also be ten Indigenous scholarships for post-secondary education beyond the first year of $200 each, for selected First Nations students.

“Education is the foundation for success, and we want to play a small role in encouraging local youth to pursue higher learning,” says Mike Rencheck, Bruce Power’s president and CEO. “Whether or not these students work for Bruce Power in the future or explore careers in other fields, we wish them nothing but success.”

Bruce Power will also award thousands in elementary and secondary school awards across Bruce, Grey and Huron for Grade 8 and Grade 12 graduates.

All applicants for the seventh annual Scholarship Program must read the eligibility requirements outlining the requirements, and then complete the online form here.
