Construction on the Steve Kerr Memorial Complex in Listowel continues to be on schedule according to North Perth Mayor Julie Behrns.
The mayor says the project is also on budget, and that the construction around the area is moving quickly.
"It’s a lot of construction that’s going on in that area," says Behrns. "We ask for people’s patience, but we’re very excited. Council has taken a tour to see everything that’s been done to date, and changes happen everyday."
The mayor says decent weather has allowed the project to remain on schedule so far, and hopefully that stays the same throughout the summer months.
"Hopefully we’ll get some nice sunny weather so we can remain on target but so far, we are both on target in terms of schedule and the budget," says Behrns.
With the new school and daycare facility just next door, Mayor Behrns says families will have plenty to enjoy in Listowel and North Perth as a whole, especially during hockey season with a new rink for the hometown Listowel Cyclones and the entire minor hockey program.
