The Municipality of Bluewater has agreed to take over the water system in the hamlet of Varna.
The system is currently run by a board of Varna residents and paid for by Varna residents.
Bluewater Mayor Tyler Hessel says the Municipality had originally asked Varna to bring the system up to standard and then the Municipality would take it over.
But the hamlet asked the Municipality to take it over as is - and bill the costs for bringing it up to standard back to the Varna users.
Hessel says there won't be any cost to the Municipality because all of the costs will be billed back to the users, and it saves the current Varna board the trouble of things like getting insurance for the system.
