Bluewater Mayor Tyler Hessel says they're close to being able to open the boat launch at the south end marina in Bayfield.
Hessel says they've been working with the MTO for about six months to get an agreement in place, and while they're not quite there yet, they are very close.
Hessel says they've also been talking to the operator of the village portion of the marina and he's interested with working with them to re-open that section of the marina and the boat launch.
Hessel says with just a little bit of luck that could happen fairly soon and that would be great news for boaters and tourists.
