Digitized Newspapers Project Completed At Huron County Libraries

Huron County libraries are hosting a series of public workshops to help people navigate their newly-digitized newspapers.

Branch Services Librarian Beth Rumble explains they have a significant number of newspapers digitized and they're offering workshops to help people learn how to use the system to search for the information they want.

Rumble says the workshops will explain the history, the purpose, and the goals of the digitizing project and the workshops will also be very interactive so people can search for names or events that they have a particular interest in.

Workshops will be held at the five main library branches in Huron County:

  • Clinton Library on June 15 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
  • Wingham Library on June 20 from 7pm to 8pm.
  • Exeter Library on June 22 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
  • Goderich Library on June 23 from 2pm to 3pm.
  • Seaforth Library on June 29 from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
More information will be posted on the Huron County Library website and Facebook page.
