Two local OPP officers are facing charges in connection with an off-duty incident in Cape Croker in 2011.
Police say two off-road vehicles collided on the reserve in April 2011, seriously injuring one rider.
New information last month prompted an investigation into potential wrongdoing.
Bruce Peninsula OPP Detachment Commander Staff Sergeant Wayne Thompson and acting staff sergeant Kevin Muir of Grey County OPP are charged with breach of trust and obstructing justice.
Thompson has 29 years of service, while Muir has been a police officer for 17 years.
Both officers have been suspended with pay and will appear in court in Owen Sound on August 10.
