The Town of St. Marys is moving forward with plans to replace the Wellington Street Bridge.
St. Marys-based McLean Taylor Construction Limited will start the five-month infrastructure project on June 26.
That means Wellington St. will be closed from the south side of Parkview Dr. to the entrance of Nick and Dan's Collision. The Riverside Walkway will be closed between Water and Wellington streets.
The new bridge will feature decorative street lights, wider sidewalks and a new water main underneath.
The design was determined after extensive consultation, with four concepts presented to an open house, and through an online survey.
The work should wrap up in late November.
