Shaw earned his spot on the podium with a seasonal best performance of 31.99.
Shaw trains with the Saugeen Track and Field Club. Other athletes from the club competing this week at the National Championships include Madelyn Eyebergen and Emily Branderhorst in high jump; Molly Boley in discus; Hannah Diebold in Hammer; and Tony Elliot in Hammer and Discus.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
