Corey Conners shot a 5-under 66 in the opening round of the Utah Challenge and is four strokes off the lead.
The Listowel native and Ben Silverman are low Canadians at the tournament and are both tied for 13th place.
Conners is looking for his fourth top ten finish on the Web.com tour after finishing last week's LECOM Health Challenge tied for 9th place.
