A 35-year-old man from Clifford has been charged with drunk driving.
During a traffic stop in Fordwich on July 19 just before 9pm, a Wellington County OPP officer was called to a Ministry of Transportation commercial vehicle inspector with a traffic stop at the intersection of Harriston Rd. (County Rd. 87) and Fordwich Line.
While interviewing the driver, the officer noticed the smell of alcohol on his breath. A roadside screening test was conducted, which the driver failed. He was arrested and taken to the North Wellington OPP detachment, where he allegedly blew over the legal limit.
