Mount Forest and Kincardine Earn Wins

Mount Forest 5 Goderich 1

The Patriots jumped out to a three goal, first period lead and went on to beat Goderich 5-1.

Luke Hoelscher struck twice for the Patriots. Ryan Maksymyk scored and had an assist in the win. Michael Stefanelli set up two of the Patriots goals.

Noah Kuno was the lone scorer for the Flyers.

Aidan Quish earned the win with 20 saves. Kevin Linker stopped 23 shots for Goderich.

Kincardine 4 Midland 2

Keegan Angel struck twice to lead the Kincardine Bulldogs over the Midland Flyers 4-2.

Robert White's power play goal at 6:43 of the second stood as the game winner. Connor Gibson also scored for the Bulldogs.

Craig Luinstra earned the win with 20 saves. Braden Butcher suffered the loss for the Flyers, making 19 saves on 22 shots.

Stayner 9 Wingham 2

JD Falconer and Cameron Knowels each had a hat trick in the Stayner Siskins 9-2 win over the Wingham Ironmen.

The Siskins were 6 for 10 on the power play, running roughshod over the Ironmen's penalty kill.

Marcus Semaio made 28 saves for Stayner. Kyle Morning allowed 3 goals on 11 shots through one period while Jamie Brock stopped 19 of 25 shots over 40 minutes of work.

Mitchell's game against Orillia was cancelled yesterday because of the warm weather affecting the ice conditions at the Mitchell arena.
