Police now say that the remains found last week in Meaford are from a human foot.
The Ontario Provincial Police say the human remains were found on November 2 around 3:30pm, along the shoreline of Georgian Beach Rd. N.
Tests were done to establish that the remains are human, and police confirmed on Thursday that they are from an adult foot.
Police are actively investigating as to the identity of who the remains belong to.
