An Owen Sound senior is one of 15 outstanding seniors honoured by the province for their significant contributions to their communities and the province after age 65.
Barbara Kipp of Owen Sound has volunteered her acting talent to spread the word about elder abuse.
Her theatre troupe presents their play to legal, medical and social organizations.
She also teaches fitness-related skills to seniors.
The Ontario Senior Achievement Awards were presented on Wednesday by Ontario Lieutenant Governor Elizabeth Dowdeswell.
