Perth County OPP Auxiliary Unit members will be coordinating food drives at three locations on Saturday.

The collections will take place from 10am until 1pm at Zehrs in Listowel, Walkom's Valu-Mart in Mitchell, and McDonald's Independent Grocer in St. Marys. Shoppers can purchase a pre-bagged donation or select their own items.

The Owen Sound Police Service is also holding a "Stuff The Cruiser Event"' this weekend.

Officers will be at Food Basic’s Saturday afternoon from 1pm until 5pm, and on Sunday from 9am until 3pm.

The following weekend, they will be at Zehr’s in Owen Sound from 5pm until 9pm Saturday and 9am until 3pm on Sunday.

This past weekend, shoppers donated more than 1,200 lbs of non-perishable food items at the Metro in downtown Owen Sound.

The recent Grey County OPP "Stuff the Cruiser" event at the No Frills grocery store in Georgian Bluffs was a huge success.

A total of 1,144 lbs of non-perishable food items was collected, as well cash donations totaling $1,145.42. The funds will all goe to the Salvation Army's Christmas Food Drive.
