North Perth Approves Land Exchange Agreement

North Perth council has approved a land exchange agreement that will clear the way for a new retirement residence in Listowel.

Property owned by Terra Park Developments on the corner of Bright St. and Nichol Ave. S and adjacent to the Park Meadow Place cul-de-sac will be turned over to North Perth.

A portion of the municipality’s vacant land beside the Perth Meadows Suites Apartment facility on Nelson Ave. S will be assumed by Terra Park Developments.

Terra Park is proposing a Retirement Residence at the south end of the property neighbouring the Perth Meadows apartments.

The Terra Park - Perth Meadows campus will provide services and support for older residents who are able to live independently, require assisted living, or care that is more specialized.

The agreement should be finalized in late February.
