78-year-old Richard Preston of Collingwood was arrested on Saturday and charged with second-degree murder in the death of Donna Walc.
Walc was found dead in a home on Trott Boulevard on October 4.
Preston has been remanded into custody with a bail hearing set for January 12, 2018 in Barrie.
No additional details have been released.
The man was charged in March with sexual assault offences.
Both couples won in the April 11 draw.
