The Owen Sound Attack is sending Matthew Struthers to North Bay in exchange for overage forward Brett McKenzie.
The club announced the trade yesterday afternoon that also includes giving the Battalion a second round pick in the 2020 Priority Selection and a 14th round pick in the 2018 OHL Priority Selection.
McKenzie has 23 points so far this season including 9 goals and 14 assists in 31 games. Last season with North Bay he played in 67 games, averaging a point a game with 29 goals and 38 assists.
In announcing the new on the teams website, General Manager Dale DeGray said: "We are excited about the opportunity to bring Brett into our locker room. We know he'll bring leadership, scoring ability, experience and even more depth to our forward corps."
Following news of the trade, Struthers tweeted his thanks to the organization and his billet family adding he would also consider Owen Sound Home.
The 18-year-old centre has been with the club since the 2015-16 season. So far this season he has 9 goals and 18 assists in 32 games.
