Provincial funding has been approved for an expansion project at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Listowel.
The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board will receive an estimated $3.9-million from the Ministry of Education.
The childcare centre will include an infant room, toddler room, pre-school room and an EarlyON room. 64 new child care spaces and 49 pupil places will be created.
A kindergarten room and one regular classroom will also be added to the school.
An official announcement is scheduled for Monday morning at St. Mary’s School in Listowel.
