Growth Plan For Wellington North

“Maintaining that small town feel” is one of the most desired qualities Wellington North residents want to hold onto.

Wellington North approved the final report of a community growth plan which surveyed local residents on what they want to see as the municipality grows.

"I think it gives us a much clearer picture of what the community's priorities are for our growth and prosperity," said Mayor Andy Lennox.

The province has predicted strong growth for Wellington North going from 12,000 to 17,000 by 2036.

Other community strengths given a high priority are community safety, health care and natural environment.
