Tavistock Rallies to beat Petrolia and Tie "A" Playoff

Zach Lorentz scored the game winner midway through the third as the Tavistock Royals rallied to beat Petrolia 3-2 to tie their WOAA Senior Hockey "A" Playoff at a game apiece.

The Royals were down 2-0 with less than two minute to go in the second when Mat Lupton scored on the power play to put the Royals to within a point.

Weston Gaul scored the equalizer unassisted at 10:44 of the third and Lorentz scored the go-ahead goal 45 seconds later.

Mike Roefs stopped 44 shots in the win.

Game 3 is Friday night at 8:30 p.m. at the Greenwood Rec Centre in Petrolia.
