Members of the Bayfield Facilities Initiative Team will be at the next Bluewater committee of the whole meeting to present their proposal to build a privately owned and operated recreational facility for Bayfield residents.
Team member Sandy Scotchmer says they've spoken to most of the councillors and some have already changed their thinking.
She feels others will see the benefits of a facility that is user-pay and privately owned, so there is no cost to the municipality.
Scotchmer believes their presentation at the next meeting will get the discussion started and may be a way to finally resolve the issue to everyone's satisfaction.
She adds the one thing they do need is another year of ice in the current arena while they do their research on what the Bayfield community wants.
