Juvenile National Broomball Championship Underway

A mixed start to the Juvenile National Broomball Championships in Owen Sound for the host teams.

The Kilsyth Flyers lost both of their games in Juvenile Boys action - 1-0 the BC Valley Gamblers and 2-1 to the Quebec Blitz.

The Mildmay Moose boys team is 0-2 after a 7-0 loss to the Ontario Sting and a 3-1 loss to the Quebec Frost. It's the teams first time at the national championship.

The Kilsyth Young Guns girls team is 1-2 after losses to the Seaway Valley Devils from Ontario, 2-0 to the Big River Crusaders out of Saskatchewan and defeating Manitoba 1-0.

The Palmerston Terminators fared better on the girls side, beating the Saskatchewan Odessa Flames 2-0 and Manitoba 1-0 while dropping a 2-1 decision to the Seaway Valley Devils.

The Toronto Blue Jays lost 7-6 in 10 innings to Tampa Bay. The Kitchener Rangers are OHL champions.
