Listowel's Corey Conners and fellow Canadian Mackenzie Hughes are tied for 21st following the first round of the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
The pair finished the opening round of the four-ball best-ball tournament with a 7-under 65.
They are low Canadians, one stroke better than David Hearn and Ben Silverman who are paired with Ireland's Seamus Power and American Matt Atkins respectively.
Americans Chez Reavie and Lucas Glover are in a tie for the the lead at 12-under 60. China's Xinjun Zhang and Zecheng Dou are also at 12-under.
